What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Ellie is a 5yo female spayed German Shepherd x Staffordshire mix that I rescued from LHS four years ago as a one year old. Ellie has not adjusted well to my new living situation that includes a cat. She does have a high prey drive which has caused her a lot of stress/anxiety in the house due to the cat even when it is not visible.
Ellie has a lot of energy, she enjoys puzzles and mental stimulation. Hard chew toys are good and I’ve kept a supply of antlers for her. She does very well on leash and she is also trained to an e-collar. She is protective of her people and will bark but not bite.
She knows basic commands -sit, stay, etc. Her favorite things are sunbathing, going on car rides, and watching for critters to chase.
Ideally she would be able to go to a home where there are no small animals with a fenced yard/space to run around.
