Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ollie is an 18 month old, neutered, red tri Aussie. He is a happy go lucky, high energy boy. Ollie will never be a couch potato, he likes to go go go!! He will make a great hiking buddy, he needs physical, as well as mental activity. His foster has introduced him to scentwork, and he really enjoys it. Ollie would enjoy any team activity he could do with his human partner, he is young and bouncy, along with smart. He would excel at agility, rally, treibball, Rodeo Dog, as well as scentwork.
A typical day for Ollie starts with a quick run outside to keep his house training intact. Then breakfast. Then back outside to play. Later there will be some impromptu training, sits, and downs, a couple tricks. Sandwiched into the day will be downtime. Dinner brings food in a rotating group of puzzle bowls. Ollie has never been crated, currently he stays in one room when his foster is not around. At night he sleeps in the bedroom with his foster's Aussies, and occasionally one of the cats. The cats are not fond of Ollie, he is way too active for them. The cat's Aussies are older and a bit more sedate.
Ollie wouldn't mind having a dog savvy cat of his own, and another dog close to his age to wrestle with daily.
Ollie is up to date on vaccinations, and current on preventatives. He weighs about 35 pounds. Like a typical Aussie, Ollie is a bit stand offish with new people, and new dogs. Once he knows you, he is your best friend, and can't get close enough to you.
Ollie does not enjoy small children. Their irregular movement make him very nervous. Ollie is fostered in western PA. If you are interested in Ollie, please submit an application to Australian Shepherds Furever.
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
