My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kaz is a darling year old cat, that is timid at first but very affectionate when you give him a chance to warm up. Kaz enjoys catnip, toys, being around kind people and his feline family. He is a curious boy and enjoys watching from a distance when he is uncertain about someone or thing. He has a sweet personality that just needs the right environment to thrive.

Kaz is a candidate for adoption as a Trio or as a Pair with one or two of his siblings. We rehabilitated this litter of kittens from the age of 10 weeks old. They were born to a feral mother. Every one was very healthy but super cautious with humans. One of our special socializing foster homes helped bring all these babies out of their shells. They are now wonderful companions and soon to be house cats for a loving home. Over the years we have learned that once cats begin life in a colony, they really need to stay with other cats. These 5 have proven that they love being together, so we aim to do just that. Realistically we are hoping they go in a trio or a pair but are open to the idea of the right family taking the entire litter. Ofcourse that situation would have to be perfect in order for it to work. Just want any adopters to know we are open to that option.

****(There will be a discounted adoption fee for the pairs/trios and especially for the entire litter).***

Our policy is that kittens go in pairs especially when born into even numbered litters. The only exception is an odd numbered litter.  In cases with a singled out kitten they must go to an adopter that has a companion cat already.** Please contact us to learn more. More about this rescue

Rescue, Retrain, Redeem, and Re-home.
Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Inc (aka R4) is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization based in Lake County, Illinois. R4 functions as an all-breed and ages, dog and cat rescue that specializes in behavioral training and rehabilitation. We are a professionally operated nonprofit dog and cat rescue run by certified dog trainers. We believe the solution to “difficult” animals cannot just be euthanasia. Our mission is to place dogs and cats that have undergone our rehabilitation program with responsible, reliable, and devoted owners. Our training specialty is centered in dog behaviors and understanding the canine mind. We take in all breeds, all ages and work with domesticated felines and feral cat colonies as well. Our expectations of adopters: 1- Consider the animal as an individual with their own personality and behaviors. 2- Be willing to learn, ask questions, and implement training into their daily routine. 3- Work alongside our team to prepare their home to provide the best environment for their new family member. R4 is 100% volunteer-run and foster-based and relies on donations, fundraisers, grants, and sponsorships to allow our organization to fulfill our mission to animals in need.
