Hi! My name is Jay and I am a handsome young guy who is sure to win you over. I was found as a local stray and am now ready to find a home of my very own. I can be a bit timid at first, but will gain confidence with a family ready to provide positive new experiences and lots of love. Once we connect, you will see how eager I am to be by your side and share in life's adventures. I have plenty of energy and enthusiasm, making me the ideal companion for outdoor fun! I am looking for someone who can provide me with structure, encouragement and opportunities to learn and grow. I am sure to blossom with a devoted friend by my side.

Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989.
