A little about Bianca personality
Bianca is a super sweet tripod dog. She’s extra cuddly and wants to sit next to people. She is definitely a lap dog. If you let her, she will sit on you. She loves people, dogs, and cats. She has energy and loves to run around and play with toys. She enjoys playing with toys with other dogs too (pulling ropes). Overall a sweet girl that would make a great family pet. She can do everything a 4 legged dog can. Bianca is Currently living with 5 dogs and a cat in a small apartment. She's a sweet quiet dog that deserves her own family that will never abandon hef again. She wants a family that will give her love and attention.
History: Bianca was abandoned in a isolated street outside Tirana because of a swollen leg she had. We found her and couldn't leave her as there was no food or shelter for miles. We took her to the vet and Her severally infected leg was amputated. We tested for all other dieseses and everything came back negative â¤ï¸After spending a month in the clinic to recover. We felt sorry for her and brought her in to our home. But unfortunately with all the foster dogs we have. There is currently no more space in our small area of living.
All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.
Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.
Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet. More about this rescue
Zani's Furry Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to rescuing companion animals from New York City shelters where, unfortunately, they are at significant risk for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Beyond directly helping the animals we save, their rescue creates space at the shelter—thus giving another shelter cat or dog an opportunity to await a chance for adoption or rescue and thereby potentially saving yet another life. Our mission is to help you find the perfect furry companion for your family and to help every animal we rescue find the forever home they deserve.
Entirely funded by donations, we depend on our volunteers to continue our work. We do not have a shelter or boarding facility, but instead rely upon foster homes to shelter and nurture our furry friends until a loving forever home is found.
Although not always sure of the pedigree or background of each cat or dog, those we place are generally well-socialized family pets who came to the city shelter through no fault of their own. We rescue kittens and puppies, nursing moms and litters, adults, seniors and special needs cats and dogs who deserve another chance for a loving home.
Our foster home network allows us to become fully familiar with each of our available cats and available dogs and helps us ensure the best possible match with adoptive families
We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about adopting a new pet and will gladly provide any support you may need throughout the adoption process and after you bring your new furry companion home. An experienced team of volunteers, fosters and trainers are always open to providing assistance. Please submit either a cat adoption application or a dog adoption application if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets.
