My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE! NEW INFO FROM ACE'S FOSTER PERSON 3-8-24:
"Everyone including myself LOVES HIM. He has a goofy, loving, and gentle personality. Like I’m truly in love with this dog. He rides so well in the car. He lets you kiss him and play with his feet without any reaction. He has a gentle play style. He did not show any fear or separation anxiety while he was at the vet or in the car with me. Did not jump or go crazy. He's also great with cats, dogs, men and women. I absolutely adore him 😍"

Meet Ace!

Ace is a sweet boy who needs a solid home. He's been bounced around a bit by people who haven't understood the needs of a Husky. He lives outside 24/7 and hardly gets any attention, which means he goes without proper care, food or water -- nor has he ever had any dog toys, a bed or even a blanket. His people want to surrender him to their local shelter in Texas, which means he'd likely be put on the EU list (as shelters there are overcrowded). If we can find a good home for Ace here in the Boulder/Denver area, transport will be arranged for him from Texas to Colorado.

Ace is approximately 1-1/2 years old, weighs 55 lbs., and is neutered. His amazing rescuer is willing to get him updated on all vaccines.

This wonderful boy is kid- and dog-friendly! He'll soon be cat tested if that can be arranged.

Ace is looking for a home where he can be safely contained. His current people have a low chain-link fence and allow him to escape, which as you can imagine isn't an ideal situation for this handsome, friendly boy.

Ace is an absolute sweetheart and wants to be loved!

If you want to apply to bring this great Husky boy into your life, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
