My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gizmo, a young (approximately 1 year), vibrant soul with a heart full of love. His sweetness is undeniable, winning hearts with his gentle purrs, fervent trill at mealtime, eager greetings, and soft nuzzles. Gizmo's playful side is a joy to behold, with his energetic antics and charming games - he really loves a good string toy. But Gizmo also wants a good cuddle, finding comfort in the warm lap of a friend, and wants to be near his people. Despite his friendly demeanor, Gizmo can be a little shy at first, needing time to trust and open up. But once he does, he will be clamoring for lots of neck and ear scratches. Gizmo was a stray who decided to spend a lot of time in our yard, but he was also getting beat up by some other kitties, so we have given him a place to stay while he healed from his wounds and received medical care (neuter, shots, chipped). Gizmo is FIV+, see link for more info about FIV: https://www.austinpetsalive.org/blog/myths-and-truths-about-fiv
