Donnie is a super sweet, and very smart 4 month old pup! He has almost mastered the sit command, and is learning not to jump on people. He follows his people around the house and just wants to be near them all the time. He's crate trained, but will get sad if he's crated while his people are still in the house - he just wants to be right with you! He often sleeps at my feet, under my desk when I work.
He's is mostly potty trained - he likes to go outside about 10 minutes after eating, which prevents accidents. Good with kids, as he just wants to run and play. He's a puppy, and acts as such - he will grab anything left on the floor and try to play keep away with it, he is still learning not to jump, he will try to chew on his people but he's very easily redirected and we're working with him daily! He loves to be pet.
Donnie's coat is beautiful, and he has gorgeous markings. He's likely a shepherd mix but definitely 100% mutt. He is currently 29 lbs. An ideal home for Donnie would include another large dog or humans around the majority of the time, with people to love on him and continue his training.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
