Our super sweet and petite little polar bear is looking for his happily ever after. He is more than deserving of his next spot being his last spot after a life of shuffling, returns, and failure from humans- to no fault of his own.
We recently received the heartbreaking news the other day that our Olaf was coming back to us for the third time. Qe were celebrating his adoption almost exactly one year ago. We really thought that was his furever family and received consistent updates. Unfortunately through a change of life circumstances, they decided surrendering him back to us was their best option. Prior to his last home, he had been adopted for 6 months and then just one month- with two other families.
We really thought Olaf had finally found “the one.” They had been extremely patient in the beginning until Olaf and their dog became best friends through a very slow introduction process. They spoiled him, loved him, and we are so sad for Olaf to consistently be let down when he thinks he is home. It is believably unfair for him and he is the sweetest soul who charms everyone who is lucky enough to get to know him. Please do not think of Olaf as a “bad dog” or a “tough dog” because he has been returned three times. It has never been his fault and he does not deserve that label or reputation.
We are sure that if Olaf could tell you anything from this experience, it's that he is a strong little man who will love you so fearlessly. If you are looking for a true bond with a furry companion- Olaf is your pup! Due to his abandonment in his past, Olaf does not like to be alone and has separation anxiety when completely solo. Olaf requires another dog in the home to feel comfortable and safe while his humans are at work or out running errands. Olaf is not a dog park dog and requires a slow introduction to other dogs, which is a process we are very familiar with for him and will happily help with the adjustment period. Once he is familiar with a dog, he will be their BFF! He loves other dogs, he just needs to feel safe first. Olaf is great with kids of all ages, but is not approved for cats.
Olaf is now around 4 years old and is more than ready for his forever family. He is safe and loved with a foster family he already knew and that is easing the pain currently, but he is more than deserving of the happiest ever after we have ever seen.
If you are interested in welcoming Olaf into your life forever (and fully committing to him for the rest of his life) please fill out an application online:
