My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty showed up as a stray cat with almost no hair, underweight and with severe dermatitis. With a bath and some TLC, she is looking healthy and ready for her new home! She is a sweet and playful kitty. Her favorite toys to chase around are red balls and springs. She will put the toys in her mouth and walk around meowing. She loves to snuggle and hang out next to the fireplace. She also loves to sit on the vents when the furnace is running. Despite coming from the outside, she prefers to be inside. Misty is estimated to be around 5 years of age and would need to be an only cat.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees range from $80 to $100. The adoption fee covers the cost of spay or neuter, vaccinations, medical exam, worming and flea prevention. All cats and kittens are cared for in various foster homes.

We do not have a central physical facility.
We supply adoptable cats to Lafayette's only Cat Cafe, the Lazy Cat Lounge Www.lazycatloungecafe.com

All other cats are in foster care and a meet and greet can be arranged upon application approval.

My New Cat is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to finding forever homes for homeless cats and kittens. All donations are used for the cats. There are no paid officers, employees or volunteers. We rely on foster homes to shelter and care for the cats so we are always looking for qualified foster homes.
