My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eunice! Eunice is an absolutely fantastic 7.5 yr old Bulldog - Boston Terrier mix who currently weighs 57 pounds. Eunice may have started her life as a puppy mill survivor, but her days of being a mill mom are over and now its time for this lady to enjoy the finer things in life!

Eunice has been an absolute dream for her foster parents and siblings! She's house trained, doesn't mind her crate and will come and from it as she pleases and spends a fair bit of her time in there on her own. She loves running in the backyard with her foster siblings and is quick to return inside for her good girl treats and some belly scratches. She walks great on a leash, but long walks aren't really her forte.

Eunice loves her people, but unlike most pups she loves her own space a whole lot too! Eunice isn't really a cuddle bug, she has flat out told her foster mom no to cuddling in bed and reading on a rainy day! She will hop on the couch out of excitement briefly with the other dogs when returning home, but then she's back to either her bed in front of the tv or her in her bed in the dinning room. She loves pets, and loves coming up to her people for attention, and she isn't shy about quickly giving her belly to you for more love! Though she won't entirely be the couch potato cuddling with you, but she sure will happily snuggle in a cozy bed next to you!

Eunice just needs a nice quiet home where she can continue out her retirement and enjoy the good life. She wouldn't mind a friendly companion, but one also isn't necessary for her as she is a rather independent lady.

Her perfect day consists of some walks outside into the yard to just look over the scenery, a calm breakfast and some naps. After that an afternoon of a short half a street walk to the stop sign and back again, some more yard hangs and then more naps till dinner and that is Eunice's perfect day.

Looking for a laid back, snoozy lady? Have the perfect retirement home? Eunice might be your gal!

Eunice is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $275.

Eunice is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

More about this rescue

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc., non-profit and no kill, aims to alleviate the suffering of abandoned shelter animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them within our community.

We are proudly foster-based, meaning our animals live in homes, not shelters. This differentiates us and allows us to more thoroughly get to know our animals, ensuring they are matched with suitable, screened adoptive homes which meet our high standards.

As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of all of our animals and to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, every pet is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are committed to ensuring the safety of our animals for their entire lifetimes so that they will never suffer abuse, neglect or abandonment again.
