My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Miss Papaya is looking for just the right fit! This curious, shy, and at times skeptical 1 year old husky is looking for a home that has prior experience with dogs, and can understand dog body language. Papaya would do best in an adult only home, but may do well with other playful dogs that are her size or bigger. She has a fear of being handled around her neck, and needs folks who can go slow with her, and help build her confidence.
Papaya is shy, but does feel more confident with other playful dogs of her size.
If you need to cuddle and snuggle a dog right upon meeting them, then Papaya would not be a good fit for you. If you have knowledge of huskies, and the things that make them happy PLUS the patience to help a shy dog have the space to get to know you, Papaya might a great fit for your home. If you are interested in meeting Papaya, please visit our website worcesterarl.org and click on Papaya's photo to fill out the Dog Adoption Inquiry below her picture. That is the first step. All adoptions and meets are by appointment, thank you!
