My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a 1 year old German Shepherd/Retriever mix. She is an active, high drive dog that would do best in a home with prior working dog experience. She is housebroken. She can be playful and rambunctious with other dogs, so another tolerant and playful dog would be her ideal companion. No cats. No children. Luna would not be a good match for a first time dog owner or inexperienced dog owner. She would thrive with an experienced handler and a job or hobby.

Adoption fee: $150

Luna is spayed and current on vaccines. Located in Orlando, FL. All adoptions are by appointment only, please fill out an application to learn more.

*NOTE: Luna is part of our rehoming program - a diversion program that helps keep pets out of shelters by assisting their owners in finding new homes that are a better fit so they don't need to be surrendered. This means Luna is currently living with her original owners and all veterinary care and history and temperament history has been provided by them.

Happy Trails Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue based in Central Florida. Established in 2013, we have successfully placed over 200 dogs. As we continue to grow, we have opened our Community Resource Center in 2019 and provide training, education, grooming events, and a food pantry for those in need in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Thanks to our training scholarships, we have helped over 100 rescue dogs have continued success in their furever home.
