My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dunny-Dunbar, a 2-year-old charming and spirited canine, has transformed from a life on a chain.

Dunny has  mastered the essentials of domestic life, being both house trained and well-behaved in his crate, demonstrating that he is not only a good boy but also a quick learner who is eager to please. Dunny's zest for life is evident in his enthusiasm for physical activity, making him an ideal companion for jogging enthusiasts. After a good dose of exercise, Dunny is just as content to settle down for some cozy snuggles on the couch. His affectionate nature shines through during these quiet moments, and he is sure to become a beloved addition to any family, providing comfort and companionship.

One of Dunny's most entertaining qualities is his playful spirit. He brings laughter and light-heartedness into the home with his amusing antics of tossing toys into the air and attempting to catch them. This display of self-entertainment not only showcases his independent play skills but also his delightful goofiness. While Dunny enjoys the company of other dogs, he is perfectly happy to be the sole focus of his adoptive family's attention. Dunny is looking for a  family that will embrace his playful nature, active lifestyle, and desire for affection.

More about this rescue

The Mission of One Love Animal Rescue is to rescue homeless animals, nurture them through foster care, and place them in permanent loving homes. We are passionate animal advocates who value the lives of these disadvantaged animals and recognize their enormous potential to be transformed into healthy and happy family pets. One Love promotes responsible pet ownership and encourages others in our community to be kind to all animals, to reduce pet overpopulation, and join us in our mission to improve the outcomes of homeless animals.

We are a 100% volunteer non-profit, so 100% of all donations go directly into supporting our mission. We rescue dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages and medical conditions from shelters locally and out-of-state, where chances of adoption are low. We also take in owner-surrenders. All pets are fully vetted - basic and beyond - prior to adoption.
