Ethel has been exceptionally sweet in her foster home; her family has been spending time working on basic training. She has a very friendly & outgoing personality. She enjoys seeing new things & meeting new people. There is so much opportunity everywhere she goes.
Ethel is comfortable with her canine foster siblings. She is determined to make friends with everyone she meets. She looks to her foster canine siblings for cues on where to go & how to react. It isn't mandatory that another dog be in the home, but please understand that for training purposes, puppies like Ethel would do well with another canine companion.
Ethel has gotten used to a leash, and her foster family is continuing to work on training. It would be best if she had a secure enclosure when she arrives at her new home, but it doesn't have to be a fence. We will consider an x-pen area if it is secure enough, or a small yard area. It just needs to be secure so she can continue her potty training. Ethel should NEVER EVER be left alone outside for any length of time.
Her foster family reports that house training is going very well. Again, we want her to be set up for success, and that means providing her an area where she feels safe to do her business. Changes in environment & her schedule means that new habits will have to be formed, and that takes a little bit of time.
You can find FAQ on our website regarding adopting. Please send us an email with your completed application if you think you'd be a good fit to adopt Ethel!
