My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous lady is Lucille! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl with ID on 2/13, and her people haven't come to reclaim her. Poor Lucille is probably wondering why they haven't come for her. Lucille first came into the shelter last July and was adopted in October so unfortunately this isn't her first stay at CCAS. Lucille is such a fun dog; she is playful and energetic. She LOVES tennis balls and will chase them around and happily play fetch. Lucille knows the commands sit and stay, and she's attentive to the people around her. If you're looking for an adventure buddy who will happily join you on walks/hikes, please come meet Lucille! We're really keeping our paws crossed for a forever home this time around where Lucille will be loved and kept safe so that she never ends up back in the shelter.

Lucille is `1.5 years old, and she weighs 51 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and she has been spayed and microchipped. Lucille will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Lucille is waiting in run 825; her ID # is 653682.

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays.

The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. But you can also just show up between 10:30 and 4:00 Tues. through Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip for permanent identification. When you do book an appointment, keep in mind it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!
