My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Venus, the elusive long-haired Pug! This delightful girl, approximately 2 years old, boasts a combination of Pug, perhaps a hint of Pekingese, or some other charming breed that only adds to her undeniable charm.

Venus's coat is a unique blend of long and wiry fur that sets her apart from the crowd. What truly steals the show is her perpetually sticking-out tongue, giving her an endearing and distinctive look that melts hearts at first glance. Beyond her adorable appearance, Venus is a sweetheart who thrives on playtime and cherishes those cuddle sessions with her human companions.

Having a sociable nature, Venus gets along famously with other dogs, making her an excellent addition to a multi-pet household. However, it's essential to note that this lovely lady is young and full of energy, capable of impressive jumps. A secure yard and a watchful eye will ensure her safety and happiness as she explores the world around her. Her ideal owner will be one who can spend lots of time with her and give her all the attention and mental stimulation she craves.

Venus's journey began as a stray, but she has blossomed into a canine companion ready to bring joy and companionship to a loving home. If you are looking for a lively and affectionate four-legged friend, consider welcoming Venus into your heart and home. This spirited pup is eagerly waiting to embark on new adventures with her forever family. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
