Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Come in during our open hours and find your next pet!

2.

Submit Application

Complete an application (can be done online prior to coming in)

3.

Meet the Pet

Meet the pet, ask questions, and interact with them.

4.

Interview

Sit down with an Adoptions Counselor to make sure you/ the pet are a perfect fit for each other.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once the adoption is approved, you will sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.

6.

Take the Pet Home

That's it. Congrats on your new best friend!

Animal Welfare Association (AWA), a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 animal welfare organization, operates the oldest and largest low-cost pet clinic, adoption center and no-kill animal shelter in South Jersey.

We do not receive funds from the government or national groups. We rely upon local donations to fund our life-saving programs.

Through a variety of innovative programs including adoptions, veterinary services, pet therapy, trap-neuter-return and humane education, we strive to ensure that animal companionship is accessible to all.
