My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oreo, Double Stuff and Hazel are believed to be pittie mix litter mates. MAFIA took them into foster care to prevent them from having to go to the Fairfield Animal Shelter as starving strays. Their estimated date of birth is 04/01/2023, but they are no April Fools – they are survivors !

Oreo has the body of a lab and is the quieter one of the three, but can keep up with the others with no problem. His weight is approximately 63 pounds.

All three of these Musketeers are fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed/neutered, and on heartworm/flea/tick preventative. They would make a great team if adopted together, but would adjust to the single life or with another existing companion. They grab all of the attention they can get. A large fenced yard would be ideal for them to expend some puppy energy!

Additional adoption info

We have a 2 page application to start proceedings for any potential adopter, and a more detailed 7 page contract when an adoption is made final. We do require a home visit before an adoption is final. All adoption decisions are made based on which adoptive family is the best match for the pet, not on a first come fist served basis.

More about this rescue

MAFIA is a rescue organization dedicated to saving abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals in Fairfield County, South Carolina. (and other counties when resources are available) As pet lovers and volunteers, we continue working to improve our county shelter through fostering and adoption programs.
We rescue abandoned and unwanted animals, provide them with medical care, and offer each a loving foster home until they are adopted. We rely only on tax-deductible donations and our hard work. For each animal we assist, we charge an adoption fee to help cover medical costs and to help us to save more deserving animals. We look for sincere people wanting a "forever" family pet. We truly believe a pet makes a house a home.
