My name is Booker!

Hi my name is Booker, I am 5 years old. I am an Akita and if you’re familiar with the breed then you may already know that I can be a handful. My owner didn’t crate train me during Covid and as a puppy I got used to him being home all the time, so when things went back to normal-ish and he left me alone I noticed that I developed some separation anxiety and would become destructive. It’s not my fault, I just don’t like being in tight spaces (crates) or left alone. I need an experienced owner to work with me, who has the time to give me. I love the snow and cold weather, I love taking walks and being able to run around in open fields or yards.

I have 1 feline brother and 1 feline sister and had 1 canine sister up until recently. I love them but I get so excited around them and want to play so I tend to forget how big I am and pounce sometimes. Mom has to monitor frequently our interactions and act as the mediator.
