What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We brought Finley into our home in May of 2023 after living with a foster family as a rescue from a very poor home situation. We could tell he had, and still does to an extent, a lot of anxiety - he does not like to be away from us for long, but we have loved and nurtured him through some rough patches into what is a very vibrant and energetic dog today.
We believe he is about 1.5 - 2 years old, and is a mix between Poodle (75%), Australian Shepherd (12.5%) and Retriever (12.5%). He currently weighs ±75 lbs., and gets along rather well with our other dog, a 2-year old female Doodle.
We feel a home that can offer a large, fenced yard with room to run, older kids who can take him on long walks and play fetch (his favorite - that and keep away), would be the best environment for him. Unfortunately we lack the time and availability to give him the attention he deserves, and while not an easy decision, we have his best interest at heart.
Thank you for considering Finley
