My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buster, a puppy with a personality as big as his heart. This sweet boy is a bundle of joy, always ready to explore his surroundings with a curiosity that's infectious. He's a goofball, with a knack for making everyone around him laugh with his energetic antics. Whether it's chasing his own tail or trying to figure out the mechanics of a squeaky toy, Buster's playful spirit is truly captivating. However, he's not a fan of feline friends, so a cat-free home would be ideal for him. Adopting Buster means bringing home a loyal companion who will fill your life with laughter, love, and endless adventures. His zest for life is a reminder of the simple joys that make every day special. So, if you're looking for a friend who will make your world brighter, Buster is your boy.

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
