Arrival story: Transferred to Waggin’ Tails from Dog Aide, found living outdoors with her sibling during cold spell in January 2024.

Approximate age / Weight: 10 months old and 37 lbs.

Elsa is a great snuggler! While she spent the first 7 months of her life as an outside dog, she’s picking up quickly the do’s and dont’s of indoor life. She enjoys going for walks and meeting people around the neighborhood. While she isn't a big fan of the crate she'll go in for some yummy treats and sleeps there at night and when left alone.

She's got that cute puppy face but many remark how calm Elsa's demeanor is. We think she's an old soul. Elsa is a champ a the vet’s office but car rides make her a bit woozy. She's interacted with kids and did well. Elsa has also met a cat and was interested but not overly interested or chased the cat. It is possible she could live peacefully with a feline sibling. Of course, we would assist in meet-n-greet to help with that introduction. Elsa likes other dogs with a similar mellow vibe like her own.

New Home: Elsa is filled with tons of love to give! She would prefer a more laid back type of home environment and people.

More about this rescue

Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. Our dedicated volunteers rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and re-home all breeds of homeless dogs from area shelters or as owner-surrenders. Waggin' Tails is supported solely through donations and fund-raising efforts. Our volunteers receive no monetary payment for their activities. Instead, their reward is the knowledge that a dog's life has been saved that otherwise would have been lost.
