Simba is a very sweet boy. Once he is comfortable, he wants to always be near his people or preferably in their laps soaking up all the love he can get.
He likes to spend time gazing out the windows or laying in a patch of sunlight. He loves to toss his toys high in the air and then race after them. This little guy seems to have springs in his legs as he just bounces up and down when he plays, super fun to watch him have so much joy! He is underweight but has shown no resource guarding of his food and takes treats very gently. However, it's best to feed separate from other pets. He sleeps all night in his bed in a gated room and does fantastic, never making a peep during the night. He is completely potty trained as well. He enjoys being outside and chasing tennis balls and often brings them back so should be great at retrieving with more practice.
Simba does have a fair amount of stranger danger. However with patience, it has only taken a few hours to help him feel safe enough around new faces. He does pretty well walking on a leash but does have some reactivity towards other dogs. This is a work in progress and will take more training. He gets along with our 2 resident dogs and reads their body language well, never trying to challenge or be pushy. He does well with being handled (baths, checking ears, etc) and has very little shedding.
If you are looking for a sweet little snuggler, Simba may be the dog for you!
