Gorgeous Gertie, a 2.5-year-old, 25 lbs Frenchie, is ready to find her family! Gertie came to use from a breeder about a month ago and she has quickly and happily adjusted to being an inside family dog. This beautiful girl is so humble and loving; she makes friends with every person and animal she meets. Although Gertie was never bred due to her cherry eye, she adores puppies and treats them as her own. Gertie is both a dog's dog and a people's dog and enjoys playtime with her foster siblings, couch time with her people, and will happily join you for a car ride. On nice days, Gertie stretches out on the deck with her favorite chew. She carries toys around in her mouth, jumps for pure joy when you come home from an outing, and gets super excited at mealtime. This girl loves to eat! Gertie is crate trained and doesn't mind sleeping in her bed, but she will never refuse an invite to sleep in her foster family's bed. House training is ongoing; she improves every day. Frequent offerings to go outside help Gertie succeed at potty training. We hope to surgical fix Gertie's cherry eye this week and then she will be ready for adoption on 2/14. We would love for Gertie to have a fenced yard for off leash playtime, she is not leash trained. Adoption fee $700.
