My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Forbes Magazine! Forbes will be your snuggly shadow or your outgoing bestie to play ball with. He's very adaptable to your lifestyle, so will be down to nap in his crate when you work from home, or have the zoomies in the living room.

Forbes is the friendliest dog on the block, wanting to say hi to anybody and everybody on the street. He would thrive in an environment where he can socialize easily, and also have a lot of love and attention throughout the day. He has been in both the city and the suburbs, and while he does well in both, we think he would have the best love with ample access to grass and the outdoors.

He absolutely loves his crate and will sleep soundly through the night with no problem.

Personality & Characteristics:
My foster dog is good with: Any and all humans! He loves dogs, but is much more interested in humans. He's definitely curious about other dogs, sniffing them on his walks and occasionally jumping up towards the bigger ones, but does not show any signs of aggression. He has not met a cat yet. We have encountered young kids on walks who he had licked uncontrollably, so no concerns there, but he has not sat down with children at this point.
My foster dog is: Crate trained and potty trained.
3 Keywords for your pup:
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 5
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet! Whines a bit on walks and when you put him in the crate, but only last for a few minutes. If you startle him he'll bark for a moment, but that's expected from any dog!
Walking Manners: Working on them! We don't think he's been walked outside very much, so we're learning how to behave and working on training. He's very treat-oriented, so we're working each and every day towards getting better. He has already made so much progress and we are immensely proud of him!
Appetite: A very hungry boy! Gobbles down his breakfast and dinner. We use a slow feeder.
Favorite Things: His tennis ball and couch snuggles. We keep him occupied when we're in meetings with a frozen Kong, lick mat, or treat puzzle, which is also loves.
Commands/Tricks: Sit, wait, lay down, and paw!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
