I adopted Tess from our local Animal Shelter approximately 6 months ago. She is definitely a Chihuahua, possibly a mix. I am 70 years old. Since her adoption my health has deteriorated. I am now required to attend Physical Therapy regularly and have frequent doctor visits. I can no longer provide the exercise she needs, and the cost of being a responsible dog owner is competing with the costs of my own care. She is a very sweet pup. She was a little shy at first, but now wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch. I have her trained to poppy pads and she does not have accidents. Tess is a very intelligent little pup; she seems to know what I'm saying. She and my old pup, Tilly get along famously. They play and wrestle and share toys with no issues. It breaks my heart to have to separate them, but Tilly has been with me since a pup, and I could not possibly part with her.
