River is a 3-year-old sweetheart who has stolen the hearts of our staff and volunteers. Despite her loving nature, she continues to be overlooked. Initially shy when she arrived, she has blossomed before our eyes into a fun and sweet pup with an incredibly loving personality. Once she gets to know you, she's all about playtime but also knows how to settle down for some relaxation.

River thrives in an environment where she can be the center of attention and absolutely loves adventures. Her adoption fee has been sponsored, so there's no cost to bring this wonderful companion into your life. Animal Rescue Rhode Island is open to adopters! Walk-ins are welcome; however, we suggest scheduling an appointment to see our pets, so we'll have a staff member ready to assist you and to ensure the pet you want to meet is available.

If you're interested in adopting one of our pets, please visit our website and complete an adoption application. A staff member will then contact you to schedule a time to meet the pet(s) that caught your eye.
