My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce Wayne (Brucie) is an approximately 4 year old black and white tuxedo DSH, who wants nothing more to be someone's velcro cat. He used to be someone's pet, but then found himself dumped on the street and homeless, fighting to survive. He was being cared for on someone's porch who brought him to Lucky Paws so he would be safe and find his forever family. Brucie is the sweetest, most affectionate guy around. He purrs like a diesel engine when you pet him. He loves to lean against you, snuggle, and get kisses on his head. He wants to be around the people he loves as much as possible and be very close to them. He would be fine as an only cat, but also really enjoys hanging out with other cats. He likes calm children very much. It is unknown if he likes dogs, but would probably be ok living with a calm dog who respects his space. Brucie is FIV+, which most likely happened from being bit by another cat while fighting for scarce amounts of food so he could survive. FIV is only spread to other cats through very deep biting so spreading it isn't a concern for a cat who lives either as an only cat or with cats it gets along with. It cannot be spread to people or other animals. Cats with FIV can live just as long as any other cat as long and they receive proper care and nutrition and get regular health check ups. Brucie is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites, and ready for a family that will love him forever this time. To meet Brucie, please submit an adoption application at https://luckypaws.org/adopt.

To ensure a successful, long-term adoption for both you and your potential feline companion, we ask that you fill out an adoption application and undergo a phone interview to determine whether you are a good match for each other. Our adoption process is designed to focus on the best fit for each individual cat, rather than a first-come, first-serve basis. In some rare cases, we may require a zoom or physical home check or recommend a foster-to-adopt scenario.
