What is Rehome?

Ruger is a Bassett Hound mix. We are unsure of what he is mixed with.
Ruger enjoys napping, running around outside, playing with his toys and most of all, snuggling with someone. He is a great fit for a family without young children as he is sometimes a food guarder and does not always like when you get too close to his food/bones. With just a little special attention to these needs, he is a really great dog that can get along with anybody who will give him attention!
Ruger has been to dog parks and done well with other dogs but can be selective at times as he does like to be the alpha dog. He is very well house trained and has never chewed furniture or had accidents in the house.
He enjoys being inside most of the time but if the weather is nice, he loves running around exploring in the backyard for hours.
Tricks he knows: sit, shake, lay down and stay.
We will not charge an adoption fee and he will come with his toys, bedding, kennels, leashes and collars, food and food containers
