Introducing Scrabble: a 7-year-old pup with the heart and spirit of a puppy. Rescued from 6 years of confinement, he's now ready to embrace life's joys. Scrabble is a cuddly, playful, and handsome companion. He's in great shape and gets along well with other dogs. With his boundless energy and affectionate nature, Scrabble is ready to make up for lost time and bring endless joy to his forever home. FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important)
Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
