My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crickett came to the Goathouse as a young kitten in 2016, along with her mom, Chloe, and five littermates. When her foster family decided to adopt Crickett - renamed Tiger by her adopted family - we though she’d found the purrfect forever home, but eight years later, sadly Crickett was returned when a family member developed a severe allergy to cats. The loss of the only home she’s ever known and entry to the refuge environment (which Crickett only experienced briefly as a small kitten) has been very hard on her, but it’s clear that underneath her shyness, Crickett is a sweet cat at heart, and we know she’ll soon come around and begin to trust again. Crickett’s former caretakers describe her as super sweet and more of a lap cat who loves affection and returns the favor. She’s never been around dogs but got along well with the other cats who were formerly part of their home. If you’re looking for a low-key adult cat to join your family, then we hope you’ll come meet Crickett and see if she might be the one for you. This girl deserves an adoring family to share in her golden years, and we aim to do all we can to help her find that happiness again!

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
