This helps Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. with pet care costs.
Allegiance is high energy with medium drive and displays many puppy-like behaviors. He is incredibly human social and sweet, but he will need a strong handler with some skill.
The positives:
Crate/kennel trained
Human social
Craves attention, a true Velcro dog
High food drive
Medium toy drive (has improved since we got him)
Loves to train
Learns quickly, especially patterns and routines
Is improving obedience skills and manners
The challenges:
He is a gifted jumper and will sail over even high fences
Has shown some barrier issues with other dogs but it’s improving
Will likely be dog selective (females and mild mannered males with proper introduction and integration)
Has very high prey drive so no cats or small dogs
Will ingest just about anything, especially if he thinks it might be food
Needs ongoing training especially with his leash walking
Allegiance is the sweetest boy and tries so hard to do his best, and he’s made such great progress since we’ve had him.
He’s a wonderful dog and we think he has great potential!

Ideally, he needs someone with experience in training Malinois/Dutch Shepherds or rescue dogs, and an active lifestyle would be a perfect match for him.
