Sweet Chabela is looking for a family to love her and help her come out of her shell! She is the sweetest angel and funny too, so really, she's the perfect dog.

Miss Bela is an independent dog and loves to nap during the day. Her favourite place is probably her dog bed. When outside, Chabela loves to sniff the bushes and grass. Sometimes, she even wants to explore the more forest-like areas!

Chabela can take a little bit to warm up to her new family, but she'll grow to love them to pieces! She is currently shy and nervous about certain things like sudden noises and cars, but she's made lots and lots of progress and even enters the elevator willingly! She has also taken to the crate like a duck to water and settles very quickly every time she's crated.

Chabela has lived with dogs in the past and does well with them. A home with another doggy sibling could help her become more confident! Chabela has not met any kids or cats. However, due to her reservations about fast movements, she would probably do well with dog savvy children who understand that Chabela is still getting used to a new environment!

Chabela's forever family will take the time to continue growing her confidence while showering her with lots of love - on her terms, of course. We do a very thorough screening interview, where we go through all of our policies, regulations and asking very detailed questions.
We perform a home and reference check.
Reference checks are your vet and two personal,
once all of those are completed,
we approve you.
you will out a liability waiver, and then set up a meet and greet
if the dog is the right fit, you sign the adoption agreement, pay the fee and on you go home with your new fido friend!

Bark at the Moon Animal Rescue is completely funded by the support of the community through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering prior to their adoption.
