My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sometimes there is a dog that just rips your heart out when you read their story of terrible uncertainty and treatment they have experienced in their past life.  Ranger is one of those dogs that truly didn’t deserve the hand that he was dealt as he lived with a couple who kept breaking up and moving away and leaving this poor dog to roam and find his own way.  Three times he ended up at Animal Control in the small town where they lived.  Three times he went back and the fourth time they never came back for him.  On the euth list he luckily ended up with Critter Cavalry Rescue and this Shepherd mix boy of 7 years and 55 pounds, is now seeking the stability that he deserves.  Ranger craves a person, or a family, but definitely a home that is his and only his forever.  He has been bounced around so many times in his life and we are determined to change that forever.  He has been worked with and still needs that one-on-one love and training every day from the forever person or people he will be adopted by.  He has learned to coexist with other dogs and he has now gotten help to be more comfortable and not defensive.  He is good with calm dog savvy cats and he is in a boarding setting that is giving him limited time to be a doted on dog.  We love Ranger and want this precious boy to have a home setting that is dog savvy and an unconditional place for him.  He just never has been in a good home with people who were good people.  Would someone please show Ranger the good heart of a family or even a single retired person that wants a true and devoted companion.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you would like to truly “rescue” Ranger.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
