Lyla is a beautiful Mini Golden Doodle who came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family could not afford to treat her medical condition. When Lyla arrived she had nearly 3/4lb of bladder stones! We provided the medical care Lyla needed and she has done amazingly well. This girl has a new lease on life! Lyla is super curious and loves her toys and tennis balls. She’s excited to bring them to you to show you when you arrive home. She loves running in the yard and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She trots around like a young dog most days. Her big personality has been beautiful to watch bloom.
The ideal home for Lyla would include a securely fenced in yard and hopefully, at least one other dog for her to play with. It would be best if there is a family member that is home most of the time. She had anxiety from the transition out of a home she had lived in for 9 years to her foster home. However, her canine foster siblings and foster mom who works from home helped her significantly. She is housebroken and can be left alone in the home without a crate (she doesn’t like the crate). She will tell you when she needs to go outside. She prefers to sleep with her person - she actually sleeps at her foster mom’s feet every night. She also enjoys cuddling on the sofa. Being a Doodle, she should have her eyes cleaned daily, and due to the type of bladder stones Lyla had, she will need to remain on a special diet for the rest of her life.
Lyla is currently in one of our Texas-based foster homes and we would love to find her a home in the DFW or surrounding area. This would make it easiest for her foster mom to help transition her to a new family. This special girl is a blonde beauty and we are praying there is an ideal forever family for her out there!

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: It’s important to us that the dogs we rescue find perfect forever homes and we realize that sometimes that perfect home might be out-of-state. If approved, the adopter will be responsible for picking up the dog from Harley’s Dream in Colorado. **We do not ship our dogs or place them with transport organizations to their forever homes.

Senior dogs in need have always tugged at our hearts and the “Harley’s House of Dreams” program enables Harley’s Dream to rescue and provide the necessary medical care for these precious little old dogs – and eventually, find them forever homes. Most were scheduled to be euthanized until we rescued them. We are a nationally recognized nonprofit organization based out of Berthoud, Colorado.
