My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Luna, and I am a three-year old Chihuahua Mix who weighs 12.9 pounds. I am on the search for my forever home and hope you can help me!

I am almost completely house trained with minimal accidents. I tolerate the crate but would much rather be around my people! I really enjoy sleeping in bed with my foster parents. My favorite things to do are hang around the house or backyard and snuggle up to my people. I am good with dogs of all sizes, in fact, Freya was my sister in my previous home!

I lived with children in my previous home but my foster parents think I would do best in a home with children 8 years or older due to my fearfulness. I am slow to warm up and will bark/growl initially but once I trust I am a total lovebug. I am described as reserved, fearful, and suspicious at first. I can be vocal and shouldn’t go to apartments or homes with shared walls. I do require a fenced yard because I have the potential to be a flight risk due to my fearfulness. I am a super sweet dog who just takes some time to warm up. I can’t wait to find my forever people!

Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
