Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hankie ended up in an overcrowded shelter after getting attacked by another dog, and he needed medical intervention right away. We stepped in, and he is all fixed up and healthy now! Hankie is very friendly when meeting human strangers and loves saying hi to everyone on walks. Given his recent previous interaction with other dogs, he is understandably cautious and alert when he sees other pups. However, he can be easily redirected by his foster and is pretty good about resuming with his walk and following his foster's lead.
Hankie is an affectionate, goofy big boy. He walks well on leash and is both house-trained and crate-trained. He knows that his crate is his safe space and usually scratches on the front door when he needs to use the bathroom. He also knows "sit" and "stay."
Hankie loves being outside in the sun and going for long walks, chewing on bully sticks, and enjoying nightly cuddles with his foster parents. He is curious about everything and gets easily intrigued with daily activities such as cooking, folding clothes, etc. He loves attention and is a sucker for belly scratches! We are excited to find Hankie his forever home with an XL breed experienced owner.
