My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeke should come with a caution label. He will absolutely fill your camera roll so @apple can greet you with a daily “not enough storage space” text

This handsome pittie joined us from ACCT Philly the beginning of January after arriving as a stray with a female dog who appeared to have recently had puppies. He was timestamped for euthanisa due to lack of space. While we can’t say for sure what Zeke’s life was like before, both dogs had chronic long time untreated ear infections upon arrival and were likely used for backyard breeding

If Zeke’s astonishing good looks weren’t enough to catch your attention, Zeke has been learning and conquering basic commands (including sit, wait, here and recall!)

Zeke is house and crate trained, perfect in the car and great patient at the vet. He loves his human companions, as well as his two medium/large canine foster brothers. Zeke has displayed a bit of a prey drive and would be best suited in a home without cats or small dogs. Zeke would also do best in a home without small children, teenaged would be fine!

This big lug will be quick to steal your heart. He’s happy to be by your side, lounging with a bone or playing fetch with his favorite toys. Don’t let this adorable house hippo be the one that got away!

More about this rescue

Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary (NARPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization which is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need, as well as educating the public on important issues, and implementing low cost vaccination and sterilization clinics. Our goal is to address vital contributing factors which lead to the overpopulation of domesticated pets. Overbreeding and overpopulation directly affects the number of animals who find themselves in shelters and in need of rescuing. NARPS is currently operating mainly as a foster based program, with ambitions to eventually have a facility to house for our rescues. We are not a breed or species specific rescue, At NARPS, big & small, hooves & paws, we rescue them all!
