My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Keeley to CCPAL Rescue. Keeley is a 12.5-year-old 15-pound Rat Terrier. She was found as a stray at one of the local convenience stores. Keeley had a microchip. The owners were called and they gave her away years ago. There was another person listed and they also gave her away. Now Keeley has no owners. She is an absolute sweet heart and very smart. People love the Rat Terrier breed for a good reason. These dogs are intelligent and very sweet. I have yet to meet a mean one. Her teeth haven’t been cleaned in a while but we have found that Probright Tooth powder works great for helping remove the buildup. She will need a dental in the near future. She is good with other dogs, loves to go outside, has good recall when you ask her to come, potty trained and loves car rides. She hasn’t been around a cat so we don’t know but her personality would make me think she would be good. She is around small fluffy dogs and big ones and gets along well causing no trouble. She would be great for the older couple or single person wanting a lower maintenance and happy companion. She is getting the slow kill method of heart worm treatment now. We will continue the treatment until adopted and give 6 months of the tablets so they can be continued. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. More about this rescue

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
