My name is Gnome, and Iandamp;#39;m looking for a home. Look at my paws, Iandamp;#39;m front declawed. Donandamp;#39;t be shy, I could be your guy. Come meet me today, what do you say? Enough of that silliness? Okay, letandamp;#39;s get serious. I lost my home when my person went into hospice and I came to the shelter along with the other two cats that I lived with. I really love getting attention, sitting in your lap, getting my fur brushed, having my ears rubbed. When I have had enough, I will gently let you know. I am very much a gentleman. Having lived with a couple of other cats, I would do well on my own, or in a household of other cats. All I want is the love of a forever family, a warm lap, a cozy bed, and dinner on time. Could you be my best friend, please?

Monday - Tuesday (by appointment only) | 11 am - 6 pm
Wednesday - Friday | 12 pm - 7 pm
Saturday - Sunday | 11am - 7pm

Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day.

We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.

Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 12-7PM. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only.

-We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption.
-Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18.
-Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Disposable masks are available upon request.
