Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there, I'm Judah. I've always been a bit of an independent soul, but don't let that fool you. I have a heart full of sweetness and bravery. I'm pretty smart too, always up for a good puzzle or game. I love to play, my tail wags just thinking about a good romp or fetch session. I'm also quite sociable with my fellow canines, we got along splendidly in my foster home. Loyalty is my middle name, once I'm your friend, I'm your friend for life. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and smart companion, I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's start our adventure together.
Judah is also eligible for foster care, sign up to foster here! https://forms.gle/oknYBjKJVYuQyb3D7

More about this shelter
The South Suburban Humane Society is a 501(c )(3) organization that was started in 1970, serving the animal welfare needs of the entire south suburbs of Chicago. In the beginning, we handled all rescues, adoptions and provided foster care out of private homes. Since November 1973, our organization has been operating a 10,000 square foot open-door animal shelter in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
For over fifty years, our organization has helped tens of thousands of animals. We offer extensive outreach programs including humane education, and community outreach events. We also operate a resale shop located in Steger, Illinois that promotes our organization, our animals and provide much needed income to support our humane work.
The Mission of the South Suburban Humane Society is to protect and promote the well being of pets and their people in our community and beyond.
