Velma
Female
2 years old
Terrier mix
40 lbs.
Hi, I'm Velma! I'm a very active and energetic 2 year old Terrier Border Collie mix with a special gentle soul who would love a sweet human. Everyone who meets me loves me and says how well behaved I am! When you meet me, you'll see the timid side of me who isn't completely sure whether the world is a kind or a scary place. I am a precious loving girl who needs to feel safe with my humans. If you are patient with me you will be rewarded with sweet gentle kisses, cuddles, and lots of zoomies in the yard! I LOVE going for walks, playing outside, fetching sticks, chasing squirrels, visiting the dog park, and belly rubs! Did I mention, I LOVE WALKS!! I am very well behaved at the dog park and get along great with all the dogs. I love running and playing and ocassionally diving into the nearest mud puddle! I am potty trained, crate trained, and mostly leash trained. I have been practicing my leash training with my foster mom and I've been doing great, but sometimes I get scared when I see a dog coming toward me and I forget my manners. I am very good at listening, and I love treats, so bring some along when we go for a walk! I get along with most dogs, but if you have a dog, we would have to meet to make sure. I would do best with an experienced dog owner, that would take me for daily walks or runs (I'm pretty energetic), has older children, and where I'm not left in a crate most of the day. I love being around humans and get along well with dogs with my same puppy energy. I also love chasing squirrels and rabbits and would need to be on a lead, or have a fenced in yard. If you're interested in making me a part of your family, contact 716paws.org.
