My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Available for meet & greets in WA state **

Hi my name is Dani and you probably clicked on my profile cause you’re looking to add a new furry friend to your home! Did you know that adding a cat to your home can help reduce stress by decreasing your cortisol levels by 69%? Not only that but it is proved that we can reduce loneliness and boost your mood!

What more reasons do you need than that to add me to your home?

Well here are just a few more if you were still on the edge:

First, I’m curious and love to explore! I may be shy and hide away when I first come into your home but give me a few days to decompress and I’ll be trotting around to explore every nook and cranny!

Second, is I’m super duper playful! I absolutely love flirt poles and any plush toys and especially go crazy for the ones that have catnip in them. Whether you’re watching me play or playing with me I promise to never fail to put a smile on your face.

Speaking of smiles, I also promise to bring you unconditional laughs. Whether is rolling around on my cat tree or flinging my toys across the room you’ll see my goofy side come out one way or another.

Lastly I LOVE food! Even though I can be shy, if you show me food then I’ll come to you. You can definitely use food to your advantage with me as I have to get to know you before I open up to you and learn that you’re not so scary.

Even though I am shy I am never mean in any way. I’ll never hiss or swat at you or your other furry friends in your home but rather just run and hide if you scare me on accident. Once I get to know you I’ll tolerate being pet and picked up. I won’t fight to get away from you but I’m not the most cuddly kitty. I do love to sit on the end of your bed and watch tv with you though!

Let’s talk a bit about other furry friends in your home. I absolutely love other cats and will snuggle with them and play. I am also good with dogs but prefer to be around dogs that will ignore me or don’t care about me. I won’t do anything mean if they try and play but I’ll run away if they’re too rough or playful.

If you think you’re home is a fit then there’s only 4 other things I require in my forever home:
1. cat tree/ post I can hop up on and scratch (doesn’t have to be big or extravagant)
2. Toys
3. And my favorite thing of all time….. food
4. And a little quiet and patience

Now that you know all about me I hope one day I can get to know you!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 5-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
