My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tabitha is an interesting looking lady who's age is a total guess to us. She looks like she's older, but she doesn't act like a senior. So we don't really know what to think! Tabitha can be more on the independent side. But she still loves her humans and is an excellent alarm clock to remind you when dinner is. She LOVES wet food. If you open a cat of food, you can bet Tabitha will be running to the bowl as soon as she hears the lid crack! She loves getting her fur brushed, climbing her cat tree, chasing jingle balls across the floor, and investigating all areas of the house to see if anything new is happening. She has lived with dogs, cats, and kids in the past and did great with everyone!

While in rescue, Tabitha received a dental check to make sure that her teeth are healthy, The vets also noted that she had a lump on her throat next to her trachea. Bloodwork was run and we had a cytology done on the lump which showed inflammation. So nothing crazy! But her future family should continue to monitor the lump to ensure it doesn't grow or change.

Tabitha is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and up to date on vaccinations for their age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
