My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abe is a 6 mo. old long haired boy who was part of a 22 cat backyard colony. He came to PAWS not fully trusting people so he will take some time and patience to fully trust. He does like to be pet, is much further along than his sister, Angie. They need a special person to help them. No dogs or small children please.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received.

Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. If you are interested in adopting an animal through PAWS, please go online and fill out an application at www.PAWSHS.org. We can set up a time to meet the animal and see if there is a good fit.

Once the application is approved, there is an adoption fee of $165 for dogs, $80 for kittens and $50 for adult cats.

All animals are current on shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Your new friend comes from a loving home enviornment where you already know about the animals likes and dislikes and its temperment.

We have a Feline Adoption center located inside PETCO on E State Street in Rockford IL.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer foster based rescue group that helps animals in need in the Winnebago and Boone county areas.

Our main focus is spay /neuter assistance since we do not have a shelter.

We are often times confused with the local county shelter.

We have fosters for both cats and dogs...and do have a feline adoption center inside the PETCO on E State St.

We have monthly adoption events throughout the year.
