Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet Cecil... one of these things is not like the others. Cecil is the only brown one in the litter. All the other siblings are black and white. We thought they were Border Collie mixes - hahahahaha - DNA says they are Mutts! Shepherd, Bully, Doberman, Aussie, Cattle Dog and even a little chihuahua. Hee Hee.
His foster mom said: "Cecil is confident and friendly. He loves 'lovins' and to be acknowledged by people. He will try for a lap but overall defaults to sleeping on a dog bed. He hasn’t gotten on the furniture except when there’s a person to cuddle with. He is respectful of the other dogs and plays well his large foster brother. Cecil is smart and is on the brink of being potty trained. He does very well in his crate and sleeps through the night."Cecil thinks the resident cat is fun to bark at... but he does not chase. Dog savvy cats would be OK.
Cecil's foster home currently got a couple of additional foster puppies too and he's been the best helper. We think his ideal home is one with a large fenced yard, and another friendly dog. This puppy is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Save-A-Mutt may require a training contract and refundable deposit (depending on previous dog experience) on our larger breed puppies.
Adoptions typically take place in Everett. This puppy is ready for it's new home!
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.

More about this rescue
Save-A-Mutt is dedicated to creating awareness about the number of adoptable dogs in shelters and rescues... and to find every dog its forever home! We do this by raising funds to A) cover the costs of transporting litters of puppies from high kill shelters to spay/neuter and adopt out; B) Focus on the welfare and final placement of Senior Dogs relinquished at area shelters, and C) assist and support local rescue groups. In addition, we hold a firm belief that 'Puppies aren't Products' and hope to stop the sale of puppies and kittens in Washington State pet stores.
