It is with absolute pleasure that we introduce you to Laverne! Laverne was originally rescued by another organization as a puppy. She was adopted out to a family that they thought they could trust. Well, about a year and a few months later, the organization got a call from the police department about a severely matted dog that they had just seized who was left in a small crate for weeks. That organization was unable to provide the care that Laverne needed so we stepped up. Despite being horrifically neglected with matts so severe that she was unable to properly go to the bathroom, she is the sweetest, silliest, most loyal girl there is. We are amazed by how sweet she is. Laverne is currently in board and train learning how to be the best dog that she can be. We truly believe investing in our animal’s mental health is just as important as their physical and it has been incredible to see the progress she has made in just a few short weeks. Laverne is about 2 – 3 years old and is a Standard Poodle mix. She is truly an amazing girl who deserves a home just as amazing as she is. We are determined to finally find Laverne her happily-ever-after.
