My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout is an approximately 10 month old, 40 lb doodle/labradoodle/schnoodle mix. Whatever the mix, he is a handsome and fabulous dog. Scout is a fast learner as he easily learned to walk on a leash, has become house broken in his foster home (he needs to be taken out every few hours), and seems to love a routine.

At some point in his short life, he was taught to sit, but he does not know the exact “sit” command so often when you talk to him or correct him, he will just sit. It is as though he sits to show that he is paying close attention to what you are saying.

Some of his favorite activities are long walks and playing with his neighborhood canine friends. He will sit in the front window in the afternoon, watching for his doggie friends to walk by and alert his foster mom with a whimper to go out and play.

When he is not playing with his friends or going for long walks, Scout loves to chase lacrosse balls and play with toys, and if his foster family is not available to throw balls or toys for him, he will toss them around and chase them on his own. He often will carry a toy around in his mouth and try to convince one of his foster siblings to play a game of tug of war. The creek in his foster family's yard is a place where Scout loves to run and splash so we suspect he might be a water dog. It was very cute one day when a lacrosse ball sank to the bottom of the creek and he went back the next day to try to retrieve it with his paws.

After an active and busy day, Scout loves to snuggle with his foster family on the sofa while they watch TV or at end of his foster mom’s bed while she reads. At bedtime, he knows it’s time to go in his crate. His ultimate goal would be to sleep with his foster family, which he would be able to do in his foster home if there weren’t 3 other pups already in the bed.

Overall, Scout is a great dog with a sweet, goofy personality and will do best with an active family that will spend lots of time with him, take him for long walks, play ball, snuggle and arrange doggie playdates.

Scout has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350.

If you are interested in adopting Scout, please write to us at PricelessPoochRescue@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt. Scout lives in a foster home located in Atlanta. Once we have received your application to adopt, we will contact you about meeting Scout.
