-This sweet girl came up with a group of hams we took from a rescue that pulls animals from kill shelters down south. They had been dumped at a high kill shelter in NC. They are sweet little girls, though a little bit skittish at first, they just need some more handling to get used to being picked up, especially cause they’re essentially still babies! They didn’t offer to bite at all just protested a little bit by hamster yelling lol. We recommend large size hamster cages for Syrians (critter trail cages are not sufficient), with lots of activities, things to climb on and chew, and solid bottomed wheels to run on, as well as a good healthy hamster diet supplemented with fresh foods.
